Learning the Macedonian Numbers displayed below is vital to the language. Macedonian cardinal number convey the "how many" they're also known as "counting numbers," because they show quantity.
In Macedonian numbers from 1 to 10 are unique and therefore need to be memorized individually. Numbers from 11-20 are formed by the corresponding number 1-9 plus the suffix -наесет. Exception for this rule is 16 (look below).
Numbers from 21 and upwards are formed by using the following pattern:
for example 21 can be formed by using 20 + и + 1 while connecting them with the conjunction ”и”. 22 = дваесет и два. 45 can be formed by using 40 + и + 5 while connecting them:
45 = четириесет и пет.
