In Macedonian there are several ways of asking a question to get a yes or no answer, and they are the following:
Unlike English, the auxiliaries do and does are not used - they are most commonly substituted with a question word (дали, што, како etc.).
Дали таа има слободно време? (Does she have free time?)
Sometimes, in Macedoninan, you can form a yes/no question with the usage of the auxiliary verb – има, but this is not very common in the Macedonian language.
Има ли таа слободно време? (Has she got free time?)
You can form a yes/no question with the usage of the word the usage of the auxiliary verb – има, and ending the sentence in the word – нели but this, again, is not very common.
Таа има слободно време, нели? (She has free time, doesn’t she?)
