Learning the Macedonian Negation is very important because its structure is used in every day conversation. The more you practice the subject, the closer you get to mastering the Macedonian language. But first we need to know what the role of Negation is in the structure of the grammar in Macedonian.
Macedonian negation is the process that turns an affirmative statement (I am happy) into its opposite denial (I am not happy).
In Macedonian, negation can be made simply by placing "Ne" before the main verb. But sometimes a double negative is required. "Ne" is the most common negative.
Не можам да го направам ова. (I can't do this).
Тие немаат ништо да прават (they don't have anything to do – Double Negative).
Не ми се допаѓа тоа (I don't like it)
Sometimes the negative can be made with the auxiliary verb “нема" (don’t have) or with negative words like: никој (nobody) or ништо (nothing).
