Latin negation is the process that turns an affirmative statement (I am happy) into its opposite denial (I am not happy).
In
Latin, negation can be made simply by placing "nōn"
before the main verb. Double negatives are allowed in Latin for emphasis
purposes.

nōn amat. (He doesn’t love me)
