Catalan Negation

Learning the Catalan Negation displayed below is vital to the language. Catalan negation is the process that turns an affirmative statement (I am happy) into its opposite denial (I am not happy).

Grammar Tips:

In Catalan, negation can be made simply by placing "No" before the main verb. Sometimes, when we want to slightly stress the negation, we can use the optional particule pas. Examples:

No ho puc fer (I can't do this).

No tenen res a fer (they don't have anything to do).

No m’ha agradat pas, aquesta pel·lícula (I didn’t really like this film).
